Creative Direction and Resource Management

This film was produced by me and involved a range of tasks, including storyboarding, coordination, and prompting questions. I went out on location interviewing staff across multiple sites around the country in various Orbit places. I wanted to capture the diversity across the business and emphasise that Orbit is more than just a landlord. It was important for me to capture people in their authentic selves, showing the true essence of the organisation. To bring the vision to life, I commissioned a videographer and provided a detailed brief for both the filming and editing process, including post-production. The aim of the film was to be showcased at the all-colleague roadshow, where 1,300 staff attended. It was created to help remind colleagues of why we do what we do as an organisation and reinforce our core values and purpose.

This film was produced by me and commissioned to an external agency. I wrote the brief and worked closely with key stakeholders to gather a script that would enable the development of a compelling storyboard. The process involved coordinating with stakeholders, gathering footage, editing the script, and conducting QA and brand checks to ensure the film effectively told the story of our future 2025 business plan. Produced during lockdown with limited resources and the inability to go out and film, I used existing footage as well as stock footage to convey the story of our future, creating excitement around the intentions of our five-year business plan. The film was showcased at an all-colleague live webinar event and was used across various internal channels to engage and inspire staff.cription text goes here

Produced by me, this animation was commissioned and created by an external agency. The process involved going out to tender to ensure competitive costs that aligned with the budget expectations. It also included collaborating with key stakeholders to determine the content, script, and style of the animation. The short animation was produced to promote our brand promise and engage our rented customers, highlighting the services available to them. I supported the agency brief throughout the project, working closely with the agency, briefing them directly, consulting on the script and storyboard, and advising on the brand's look and feel. Brand guidance was provided to support the delivery, ensuring consistency with our visual identity. I also provided graphics to support the visual style of the animation.

I co-produced this film working with a commercial home builder. The aim was to highlight and showcase the high quality, standards, and safety considerations in the homes built and sold for shared ownership and outright sale. The work involved briefing the team, managing stakeholders, and providing both pre- and post-production support to the videographer, ensuring brand consistency and quality through detailed reviews at each stage of the process. The film was designed to emphasise our commitment to excellence in every home we build, reinforcing our dedication to delivering safe, high-quality living spaces.

This animation was briefed and scripted by me, with creative direction over the storyboard and visual style to ensure it was on brand. The aim of the animation was to engage colleagues as part of an internal campaign. Initially, the brief was to create infographics posters, but I challenged this approach, pushing for a more impactful solution by turning it into an animation that could be shared on our internal platforms. With the majority of colleagues working from home and trends around posters changing, this was a more innovative approach. The animation was 100% produced in-house, from the visuals to the after effects and voice-over, showcasing the full creative and production capabilities within the team.

This initiative was my idea and was designed to drive traffic and spark interest in the company’s recruitment efforts, while boosting engagement with the careers website. I conceived the concept of creating a series of short films that showcase the career journeys of employees, highlighting the diverse roles and skills within the organisation. I took the lead on writing the brief, sourcing willing participants, and implementing the 60-second format, inspired by the popularity of short-form social media content. My goal was to keep the films concise and impactful, attracting more views than longer versions. The content was produced in-house, in collaboration with the videographer, and was shared on the careers website, internal channels, and social media platforms to profile different directorates. This approach aimed to engage potential candidates and provide an authentic glimpse into life at the company, while emphasising the wide range of career opportunities available.
